HERE WE GO!

Juliet, a peasant, is feeling sad and hungry.

But then, she catches sight of a tree full of apples.

Tree is placed just beyond team Victor, on the opposite side of the stage to team Juliet

She sees Lord Victor approach, and start to eat one of the apples - which is his 7th of the day - but he quickly throws it away.

The apple is thrown in Juliet’s direction.

He’s incredibly wasteful, and has only taken the tiniest bite. So she picks up the apple and starts to eat it herself.

Juliet immediately starts to feel lots better, and warmer!

Her team sways alternately in and out.

The frog team acts as the sun for this bit, and they rise in pairs in opposite directions, starting at the front of the line and ending at the to back.

Lord Victor is furious that a peasant is eating his apple - he shouts at her! Juliet is taken aback at first, but soon an argument develops between them.

Below, out of sight, all of them the frogs start bouncing and point their fingers at Victor.

At the end of the phrase, the frogs do a really big leap up and Lord Victor cartwheels down into a ball on the floor.

It turns out he’s really scared of frogs!

Having discovered his weakness, Juliet stands back with hands on hips, looking satisfied.

Juliet starts to plot her next move…

Her team whirls around a bit while she does it, looking like they mean business!

Winter becomes the only Juliet; the others all turn into villagers.

Juliet dances up and down the line, spreading the word among the villagers; they whisper and gossip amongst themselves, and in pairs start to celebrate, linking arms and swinging each other around in a dance.

All the frogs do the same; Rowan sets off up and down the line, after which they all link arms and twirl around.

(Quartet plays this phrase quieter and bouncier)

Both Juliet/villagers and all Lord Victors march towards each other up/down the hill.

They prepare for battle, Juliets marching with hands on hips, Lord Victors wielding shields and swords.

Battle cry! (Lord Victors).

Battle cry! (Juliets and Frogs together) Haka poses - REALLY SCARY!

The quartet play both these phrases loudly and dramatically

Lord Victor pretends to surrender and stand down.

Partly because he’s scared of frogs, but also because their haka was really terrifying!

Juliet and the frogs believe him, and start to disperse (retreat).

But it’s a trap!

THE BATTLE!!!

The haka frogs come out on top, and capture Lord Victor and his army.

But there’s another twist! instead of siding with Juliet, they betray her as well, taking all of the villagers as prisoners alongside Lord Victor and claiming power for themselves!

“Mwahahahaha”
